How to show checklist progress with a progress bar

The Amazing Fields PowerUp allows you to create a progress bar on your cards based upon tasks completed in your checklists.

See it in action: Create a board from the Amazing Fields Progress Bar Template.

Amazing Fields let's you connect your checklist progress to a field that shows your progress using a progress bar.  This lets you visualize your progress as you check off your tasks.

You can see an example here:

An easy way to get started is to take a look at the Amazing Fields Progress Bars template.  Create a board from this template and you can explore all the options.

If you want to create a new field from scratch and link it to you checklists, here are the steps:

  • Add a new field
  • Choose Example Fields > Checklist

This creates a Number field, set to show progress and linked to checklists.  The field will automatically update with the percentage of checklist items completed.  It will show the field as a progress bar and format it as 0-100%.

Reminder: you can customize the progress bar style and the content to create completely custom representations of progress.

Specific Checklist

If you want to link the progress bar to a specific checklist on a card, you can do this by setting the checklist search.  For example if you have a common checklist like "Project Steps", then set the match checklists field to "project steps" and it will only show progress for the items in that checklist.

You can add as many checklist fields as you want and set them to match one or multiple checklists.  This allows for a wide variety of combinations of what to show and how.
