Text Field
The Text field lets you add freeform written content directly to a Trello card, anything from a short reference code to a multi-paragraph description. It is one of the most versatile fields in Amazing Fields.
How to add a Text Field to your board
- Open Amazing Fields Settings by clicking the Amazing Fields icon in the top-right corner of the board.
- Click the "+ Add" button
- Choose "Text Field" under "Basic Fields."
Single-line vs. multi-line mode
A Text field can operate in one of two modes:
- Single-line mode: the default. Compact and ideal for short values.
- Multi-line mode: the field expands vertically to display longer text. Best for descriptions, instructions, or any content that benefits from full formatting and multiple paragraphs.
To switch modes, select the editor style under the "Text Settings" section.
