Understanding the Amazing Fields Card Storage Exceeded Warning
The Card Storage Exceeded warning appears when the amount of data stored on a single Trello card exceeds the limit Trello allows per card. This limit is imposed by Trello and cannot be extended.
Note: This is a card-level data limit, not a board configuration limit. If you're seeing a board storage exceeded warning instead, see: Understanding the Amazing Fields Storage Exceeded Warning.
Common Cause
Card storage exceeded most commonly occurs when a large amount of text, multiple pages worth, is stored in a text field on a single card. Each card has a fixed storage budget across all its Amazing Fields values, and very long text content can exhaust it quickly.

How to resolve it
The only way to resolve this warning is to reduce the amount of data stored on the affected card. Options include:
- Replace long text content with a link to a document stored in an external system (Google Docs, Notion, Confluence, etc.)
- Split the content across multiple cards if the information naturally covers more than one topic
- Summarize the content rather than storing the full text in the field
- Move large blocks of text to the Trello card description instead, which has a separate storage budget
Warning: There is no way to increase the per-card storage limit. This is a hard limit imposed by Trello on all Power-Ups. Amazing Fields cannot store additional data beyond what Trello allows per card.
